Hands-on Civic Experience: Would you like to introduce a bill?

I am not a lobbyist by trade, but I have  lobbied for animal and criminal justice legislation on the local and state levels.  Several years ago, I introduced a bill to the Cambridge City Council and then spearheaded a campaign that successfully banned the use of wild animals in entertainment in Cambridge. In February (2022), I asked my state senator to introduce a plain language bill. It passed favorably through the Joint Committee on State Administration and Regulatory Oversight last month and is now with the Ways and Means Committee.
