Here's a potentially fun request: I have been getting into the cello and bass parts of 20th-21st century pop/rock songs. I like the slow, mellow, deep sounds that are drawn out. But these songs have other parts, including vocals, and are fairly short.
So I am looking for long, classical cello and bass pieces that tend to be slow, mellow, deep, peaceful/calm(?) and/or melancholy. (They don't have to be melancholy, but can be.) There's way too much classical music out there, and whenever I try to look on my own, the pieces I find inevitability pick up the pace and start to become too peppy or aggressive, too fast.
I would pay you (in time bank hours) to do some research and send me links to classical music that you feel certain meets this criteria. Ideally it would be a digital media file or used CD that I could put into my iTunes, but also Youtube or similar sites, or perhaps apps that play music, but I would need to know the name of the song/album.
If you are up for this, thanks for considering! Here are some examples of the sound I want more of:
1. I once heard a Scarlotti piece that fit the bill but cannot remember its name.
2. Examples of modern songs with the kind of sound I am looking for include:
a. "Verdi Cries" (but, oddly, I can't find this sound in "Aida")
